What are the New West Youth Awards?

The New West Youth Awards are designed to recognize the contributions of young people between the ages of 13-18 in New Westminster. There are five youth award categories: Leadership, Community Service, Athletics, Arts & Culture, and Sustainability, plus one Adult Ally category for those who support youth in their journey towards success (see category descriptions below).  The awards also help establish and maintain a positive environment and outlet for our city's young people.

What do nominees and winners get?

All award nominees will be invited to the in-person award ceremony and will receive a New West Youth Legacy Package--a swag bag full of goodies! Award winners will each receive a $100 honorarium and a signed Letter of Recognition for future endeavours.
